The holiday season is upon us, already! Didn’t 2020 just fly by?

To end everyone’s favorite year on a happy note we’ve filled our latest software update with new features that are sure to bring some cheer to the hearts of our users—who, coincidentally are all on the “nice” list. Go figure.

We will be making the update on December 3, 2020 @ 9PM EST (minor service interruptions are possible around this time)

Archive Exchanges

Are you the kind of person who likes to keep everything neat and tidy and also happens to run a lot of exchanges? If so, the new Exchange Archive is for you. You can now choose to move any exchange they like into the Archive, removing it from all other views.

Some things to know about Archived Exchanges: 

• Participants are not able to view them and will receive a “This exchange is no longer available” message if they load the link.
• The Discover Dashboard remains viewable for leaders.
• Any reports related to Archived Exchanges remain viewable to anyone with the link (you can delete these separately if needed).
• You can only send an exchange to the Archive if you are the leader.

Additional Support for Participation Groups

We’ve made some changes to Participation Groups to give leaders more control over the creation of their exchanges and to make reporting on what you learned a little easier.

Now, when you add a Participation Groups question to your exchanges, you will be able to change the order the groups are presented in using the up and down arrows to the left of each choice. It’s a small change, but an important one when you need it!

Finally, when you’ve wrapped up your exchange and are creating a Summary Report in the Discover Dashboard you will now be able to add a Participation Groups filter to your Bars visualization. This will show viewers of your report what mattered most to each group with just a few clicks. Leaders can also filter their Bars and Tiles view by Participation Groups.

Machine Moderation in All Languages

We’ve made improvements to our Machine Moderation feature to better support exchanges happening in multiple languages (and to move it out of beta). In the past, thoughts entered in languages other than English may have been flagged for the leader to review because the machine moderator did not understand the content. Now, an automatic translation is run before Machine Moderation reviews the thought. With this change, you can be confident that thoughts are being moderated fairly no matter what language they were shared in!

Updated Exchange Gallery

We've done some reorganizing of the Exchange Gallery to put the resources you need at your fingertips. We've also spent some time beautifying the interface for your perusing pleasure. Be sure to check it out!

Bigger Attachments

Last, but not least, we’ve increased the size limit for the attachments leaders can add to their exchange introductions from 200 MB to 400 MB. Now, you’ve got a little more space to play with if you want to get fancy with your Introduction Video!
