Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO)
Leaders can now sign in to ThoughtExchange using their existing Microsoft credentials — no separate login required. This makes access faster and more seamless, especially for staff who already use Microsoft tools in their daily workflow.
- Navigate to the Sign-In page within the Leader app.
- Select the Microsoft option to be redirected to the Microsoft Sign-In page.
- Enter your Microsoft email address or phone number to authenticate and access ThoughtExchange.

Branching Improvements in Adaptive Surveys
In this release, we have made significant improvements to the branching feature within Adaptive Surveys, focusing on streamlining the interface and enhancing overall usability for leaders building complex logic flows.
This update introduces two key improvements to the branching rule builder:
- Rule Groups with AND/OR Conditions: Every set of rules is now treated as a distinct rule group. Each group can be joined using an AND or OR condition. Previously, AND/OR logic was applied at the individual rule level, consuming significant screen space. Now, when multiple rule groups are present, the joining condition is displayed outside the rule group box — keeping the interface clean and organized.
-
"Contains Any" Operator for Single-Select Questions: Leaders can now select the "contains any" operator when building branches based on single-select questions. This converts the selection field into a multi-select dropdown, allowing multiple response values to be captured within a single rule rather than requiring separate rules for each — saving space and simplifying branch configuration.

Refining Answer Editing for Participants
- Participants can now update a previous answer without losing all of their prior progress. The platform intelligently evaluates whether a change affects downstream questions — and only removes responses where a dependency exists.
- If a modified answer has no impact on later questions, all other responses are preserved automatically.
- If a change does affect downstream answers, participants see a clear warning identifying exactly which responses will be removed — giving them the opportunity to reconsider before proceeding.
Safety and Guardrails
-
Impact Warning Prompt: When a modification affects dependent questions, a system message is shown before any responses are deleted, giving participants full visibility into what will change.
Shared Device Handling
Leaders can now run adaptive surveys in shared environments — such as computer labs, kiosks, or public events — while keeping each participant's responses private and isolated.
- When a participant completes their survey, the session resets automatically: after two minutes of inactivity, after 20 seconds on the final page, or manually via a reset option on the final page.
- Upon submission or session close, the participant's data is submitted and all identifying information is cleared from the device — the next participant starts fresh with no trace of previous responses.
-
Enable Shared Device mode when setting up your survey to configure it in advance for planned deployments.
