We have some exciting updates coming your way on Friday, May 1st, 2026!
This release streamlines content management and strategic analysis with automated document generation, and research-backed metrics to drive actionable district insights.
Export Functionality within Discover
In this release, we have introduced the ability for leaders with any Discover role to seamlessly export stories and insights from a Discover collection directly into a .docx file. This feature provides a professional, portable format for leaders who need to share findings outside of the platform or incorporate them into larger reports.
To use this feature, a leader with any Discover role can navigate to the top left-hand side of their collection and locate the Export button.
- Once "Export" is selected, a configuration page will appear, allowing the admin to provide a specific title for the document to ensure it aligns with project naming conventions.
- Admins can choose specific options to tailor the content included in the file, ensuring the output meets their exact needs.
- After clicking "Generate," the platform processes the request and delivers the document directly through the browser for immediate use.
Once the document is generated, it is recommended to review the layout within Microsoft Word to ensure all stories and insights are formatted to your preference before distribution.
Note - The export is only available for Stories within a collection.
Date Picker Survey Question Type
In this release, we have introduced a dedicated Date Picker question type within Adaptive Surveys. This new addition allows leaders to collect specific chronological data—such as project deadlines, birthdates, or event timings—in a standardized and user-friendly format.
Adding a date-based question to your engagement is now a seamless part of the survey creation workflow:
- To get started, navigate to any Adaptive Survey and add a new question card.
- Within the question type dropdown menu, simply select the new “Date” option.
- Once active, participants will be presented with a structured calendar interface, making it easy for them to select the correct day, month, and year without any manual typing errors.
Note: As shown below, responses for Date Picker survey questions are hidden within the Details Tab. These results are currently only accessible via the Participant Response Export (PRE) report, which can be downloaded by a Data Analyst.
Answer Coding: Advanced Data Management
In this release, we have introduced Answer Coding for Adaptive Surveys. This functionality is specifically designed for leaders and data analysts who manage data-heavy engagements and require precise, numerical mapping for survey responses.
This feature provides a robust way to categorize responses behind the scenes without altering the participant's experience.
- To enable this tool, navigate to Settings > Data Handling and toggle on the Answer Codes option.
- Once active, any question with text-based response options will display an "Add/Edit Code" button. This allows you to map a specific value (e.g., "Highly Satisfied" to code 5) to each choice.
- You are not required to code every question. You can selectively apply codes only to the data points that require technical analysis.
Note: To maintain data integrity, the system requires that a survey question be either fully coded or entirely uncoded. For example, if a question has four response options, you cannot assign codes to only two and leave the remaining two blank.

Data Analysis & Export
For data analysts, this feature transforms the Participant Response Export. When generating the report, a new pop-up window will appear, offering a choice in how the data is displayed:
- Answer Text: Exports the literal response selected by the participant.
- Answer Coding: Exports the underlying numerical or shorthand code assigned during the survey design.
End and Go To: Custom Branching Logic
In this release, we have introduced the "End and Go To" functionality within Adaptive Surveys. This update provides leaders with greater control over the participant journey by allowing for sophisticated survey termination points and logic-based routing.
This functionality allows for precise control over how a participant exits the survey experience.
Leaders can now create a branch at any point within the survey structure. This is particularly useful for disqualifying participants who don't meet specific criteria or for segmenting different user groups.
Once a branch is created, you have the option to end the survey immediately at that point.
Alternatively, you can utilize the "Go To" option, which directs the participant to any future questions within the survey to complete their submission seamlessly.

AI-Enhanced Survey Import
In this release, we have introduced enhancements to our third-party import process. By leveraging AI, the system now offers superior detection of question types, drastically reducing the manual effort required to move your existing content into our platform.
The updated workflow integrates AI directly into the standard import steps to ensure your questions are categorized correctly from the moment you upload your file.
- Auto-Detection by Default: When you begin an import, the AI is enabled automatically. It analyzes your file to intelligently assign the most appropriate survey question types (e.g., Multiple Choice, Ranking, or Open-Ended).
- Real-Time Refinement: Leaders maintain full control; you can review the AI’s selections and make manual adjustments to question types during the import preview before finalizing.
- Seamless Re-Importing: If you need to make changes after the initial import is complete, the enhanced functionality now allows for a much smoother editing and re-importing loop.

Updates on Email Deliverability and Improved Participant Retention
Email Throttling
To ensure maximum deliverability and protect our sender reputation, we now throttle high-volume invitation sends into optimized batches. This back-end enhancement ensures your surveys reach participants' inboxes reliably and consistently without triggering spam filters.
Confirmation Dialog in Unsubscribe
To help maintain your participant reach and prevent accidental opt-outs, we’ve replaced immediate "one-click" unsubscribes with a revamped confirmation experience. The new page features our updated branding and trust-building resources to ensure users clearly understand who we are and why they’re being invited to share their thoughts, reducing the likelihood of permanent unsubscribes due to brand confusion.
