The Discover Dashboard is a leader application that houses all of your exchange data. As a leader, it gives you the tools to:
Below is a quick overview of each Discover Dashboard tool with links to more detailed resources on the support site. Remember to first get clear on the progress you are trying to make and then use the Discover dashboard to explore the results and develop your action plan.
Understand your Participants
Overview is a summary of how many people participated in the exchange, broken down by step. The section below that lets you track who participated in your exchange by exploring the answers to the survey questions so you can reach out to specific groups if needed.
Connections shows exchange participation and can be used at events to engage people as they participate in-person or to replay as you share out your action plan.
Visualize the Results
All of these tools showcase themed data: whether it is the AI-generated themes (that update in real-time) or custom themes created by leaders.
Wordcloud highlights top keywords in the exchange and when colored by topic (the default) shows you the AI-generated themes. Words within the visualisation are clickable and will bring up a list of thoughts containing that word. Download the visualisation and share it with participants to boost participation.
Tiles lets all topics rise in influence by de-emphasizing the size of the themes. It’s great for contentious exchanges where one theme dominates and the leader wants to minimize its influence.
Bars highlights the size of the themes. Use it to illustrate themes where participant passion is a key part of the exchange results narrative.
Heatmaps showcases demographic differences so leaders can understand the priorities of each group.
Dig Into Dynamics
Differences highlights areas of tension or division in your exchange and often mirrors dynamics in your organization or community.
Moderate is an easy to use interface that lets leaders with manage access review thoughts reported by participants (or our flagging machine if they turned on our machine moderation) or thoughts that were removed by leaders.
Theme is where leaders create custom theme sets that group thoughts together, so they can understand both the exchange and its participants. This tab also lets you copy the AI-generated themes so they can be edited. Leaders can use theming to categorize thoughts in many ways and theming works best if you keep in mind the progress you’d like to make.
Share Your Results
Thoughts is a full list of participant thoughts ranked from the highest to the lowest average star rating. If you comment on thoughts, this is a great place to create a thoughts report to share out with participants.
Reports is where leaders create custom summary reports to share with their stakeholders. Leaders can customize the text to share actions that result from the exchange and publish a report as a website. This is also where the data download function lives.
Manage controls who has access to the Discover Dashboard. Sharing access is a great way to get other leaders involved in understanding the results and developing an action plan.
The Discover Dashboard is a one-stop shop for all of your exchange analysis and reporting needs. Once you explore all of the main tools, we encourage you to visit our Te Labs section (the little beaker at the bottom of the page). This tab contains our beta tools, which are either in development or haven’t quite made it into the product yet.
