On Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 8PM PT we will be updating our software to ThoughtExchange version 6.2. The name of the game in this update is providing leaders with more resources where they need them when creating Exchanges, helping leaders get robust data, and making it easier to share results when Exchanges close.

What we’ve changed:

Templates in Exchange Creation

This one is as much a relocation as it is a brand new feature, but it aims to make things easier for leaders creating Exchanges, so we’ll count it. We’ve moved Exchange templates out of the “Studio” and put them right, smack-dab in the workflow of building new Exchanges. Now, when you click the Create button you can start from scratch with a “Blank Exchange” or you can select one of our tried and tested Exchange templates. Simply hover over a template to find the Create button or click “Learn more” to get details about the template and additional resources.

Exchange templates are searchable, editable and auto-populate your Exchange question, objective, and some basic introduction text to help get you started.

Export Images from the new Results page

Something we’ve heard from lots of leaders is that they love the reports they can generate using ThoughtExchange but wish they could export and share specific elements of them without sharing the whole report. Message received! Starting in this update leaders can export images (as .png files) directly from their results summary and share them wherever they like.

Participation Reminder Notifications

Leaders are busy; we totally get it. Sometimes you launch an Exchange and get so caught up with other things while it is running that you forget to send your participants reminders to come back and share and rate new thoughts. To help you get good results anyway, we’ve added reminder notifications that leaders will receive at the mid-way point of their Exchanges and again 2 days before their deadline reminding you to invite your participants to come back and beef up your data. We’ve even included a template email you can send out to your participants with sample thoughts from your Exchange.

New UI Improvements

In a small but powerful change as we work to build out the new version of our interface we’ve added some flexibility by allowing leaders to customize their Exchange question when working from a template.

Subprocessor Update
