The new Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Survey Question Type allows leaders to securely and explicitly request participant contact information, such as name or email, directly within the engagement flow.
Setting Up the PII Question
To deploy the PII question, add any survey question type to the flowchart. Within the survey question dropdown, the leader will find "Contact Information" at the bottom. Selecting this option prompts a choice between requesting the "Name" or "Email Address," which generates the corresponding text input field for the participant.

Note: the ‘Required’ toggle is defaulted On; leaders can choose to make the question not required by moving the toggle to Off. Even if the required toggle is marked off, the platform enforces strict data validation for the Email Address question. This prevents participants from inputting incorrect email addresses.

Note: For the PII Survey Question Type to function, the engagement must be set to the Confidential privacy setting.
Furthermore, the PII information will not be included in standard analytics view (Summaries, Detailed Responses, Compare and will not be processed by the Advisor). The PII data will be visible in the Transcripts tab. Users with "Data Analyst" access can retrieve the PII information from the Participant Response Export Report on the Reports tab.
