The “Create Flow” within the platform provides leaders with a streamlined starting point for a new engagement. By clicking the +Create button, leaders enter a dedicated, full-page interface designed to accelerate the build process through three distinct pathways: Templates, Blank, and Import.

Templates
The Templates option serves as a consolidated hub, allowing leaders to launch an engagement in minutes. Selecting this path takes you to the Template Library, a gallery that organizes all available content for easy discovery.
The library offers two primary methods for filtering templates to ensure you find the right starting point:
- By Engagement Type: Templates are categorized by method, which includes Exchanges, Surveys, Adaptive Surveys, and Custom Templates (the central hub for all user-created content). Where available, this category also includes mandated templates.
- By Use Case: Templates are also grouped by use case. A use case describes common situations or frameworks where engagement is useful, for example, ‘Culture & Climate’. Selecting a use case displays all templates associated with it.
Blank
The “+Blank” option is designed for leaders who prefer to build from scratch. Selecting this path bypasses templated content and moves you directly to a blank canvas.
- Adaptive Surveys
- Exchanges

- Interviews
Choosing a specific method immediately opens the editor, ensuring a fast start to the design process.

Import
The “+Import” feature enables leaders to integrate external data into the ThoughtExchange ecosystem. This workflow guides you through bringing survey data from outside platforms by uploading a prepared CSV file.
The interface facilitates column mapping and data cleaning, ensuring that external information is properly formatted for reporting and analysis within the platform. For a detailed walkthrough on preparing your files, please refer to our [Survey Import Guide].
