The Variables feature in Adaptive Survey enables leaders to personalize the participant experience by referencing previous responses. The two most common applications are to insert a previous response into a future question or to add an Engage with AI output into a future question. Variables can also be used to create a global reference, like the name of the organization, to be used flexibly across the engagement.
To utilize variables, select a question or message card and click on the variable icon (insert icon here). This will generate a list of current variables. Select a variable to insert it into the card. The content will then dynamically update depending on the participants’ unique data or previous responses.
Use variables to ensure the survey remains relevant and adaptive to each participant's specific context.
