When you try to participate in an exchange, you may be asked to enter a 9-digit code. This code is used to direct you to the right exchange so you don't have to look through any long lists or menus.
Usually, if the leaders of an exchange want you to enter the 9-digit code, they will send it to you in an email. However, sometimes errors can occur when your browser tries to copy or load a link and you might be asked for a code that you were never sent.
If you were sent a link to an exchange, it should contain a string of nine digits at the end. These digits are the identification code for the exchange.
For example, a link might look like this: https://my.thoughtexchange.com/553792297
In this case, the 9-digit identification code for the exchange is 553-792-297.
