We have an exciting update coming your way on Friday, October 30th, 2026!
This release gives leaders more ways to reach the right participants and stay on top of every engagement, with two key improvements:
Invitations
Leader Notifications
Invitations
Invitations are now available to ThoughtExchange customers*. Leaders can send surveys directly to a defined participant list and get results broken down by the groups that matter to them, all within a single engagement.
- Reach participants by email, access code, or both
- Break down results by school, role, department and more
- Manage everything from one engagement, with no separate surveys for each group
For a full walkthrough, visit the Invitations & Participant Lists section of the ThoughtExchange Help Site.
*Available in the Strategic Insights Platform and Engagement 360 packages.
Leader Notifications
Adaptive Surveys now keep leaders informed after launch. A new Notifications section under the Manage tab sends emails at key moments. Each email has a Review participation button that takes leaders straight to the Results page, so they can check progress and act on it.
Launch and Close Emails
- The notification recipient gets an email automatically when an engagement launches or closes on its schedule. Launching or closing manually doesn’t send an email.
- Each engagement has one notification recipient. By default this is the person who created the engagement, and it can be changed to anyone with edit access.
- The recipient should be set before launch so they also get the launch email. A new recipient only gets emails sent after the change.
Leader Reminders
Leaders can click + Add leader reminder and choose a type:
- Date: sends at a specific date and time, based on the time zone of the leader’s browser. The date must fall between the launch and close dates.
- Participant completion count: sends once completed responses reach the set goal. The count is checked about once a day, so the email may arrive up to 24 hours after the goal is reached.
Reminder Statuses
- Scheduled: waiting to send.
- Sent: delivered. Sent reminders are locked, as are all reminders on a closed engagement.
- ⚠️ Conflict: needs fixing. This happens if the launch or close date moves and the reminder now falls outside it, or if a draft’s reminder date has already passed. If no launch date is set, a conflict blocks Launch until the reminder is fixed or deleted in Manage > Notifications. Scheduled launches still go ahead.
- Expired: won’t send. This happens if the engagement closed before the goal was reached, or if a scheduled launch happened after the reminder’s date.
*Available in all packages.
