Creating and launching an exchange is a pretty simple process, once you know your way around. There are a few handy things to keep in mind and this checklist is intended as a guide to help you prepare for your exchange.

Create your own question that is easy to understand and easy to rate

Let your participants know why you're running the exchange, why their voice matters and what you will do with the information.

Survey Questions are a way to determine a participant’s demographic info or other details that might be useful when interpreting the results.
Keep in mind, these are always mandatory for participants to answer. Asking too many questions can run the risk of compromising anonymity and drop off rate.

Use moderation to help remove comments that are either reported by a participant or that the AI has found to be abusive or identifying a person.
By default the manual setting is turned on which means the leader (or other managers) will be responsible for removing reported thoughts.

Don't forget to spend some time thinking about your communications strategy for your exchange. How will you invite participants to share and rate ideas? How and when will you send reminders for them to return to rate new ideas? How will you close the loop with them once the exchange is closed?
