Welcome to Thoughtexchange!
If you are reading these words you have likely just been given leader access to the DIY version of our software. This will allow you to plan, design and run your own Thoughtexchanges! We’re glad to have you along.
Below you will find a handy list of resources that can help you do everything from designing a question, to running a live exchange in a meeting, to analyzing your data - and all the things in between. You may even want to bookmark this page so you can have these resources constantly at your fingertips!
Sample Exchange Questions: A great question is the key to a great exchange, but it can also be the trickiest to get right. Check out this article for a walkthrough of how to write a great question and hop on over to questions.thoughtexchange.com for a library of recommended questions. We've also built the question library into the software itself under the Question tab. Just click question library at the top of that page to take a look.
Use Cases and Tips: To learn more about how to get the best use of the tools you now have access to, check out our library of Use Cases, it contains some great examples and ideas for inspiration.
Sample Emails: This is a direct link to the sample email text that you can use for any initial communication and the followup emails. (Reminders 1 and 2 both have text that asks participants to return to add stars). **Remember to send at least 2 reminders to come in and star and keep an eye on the Pending thoughts to make sure it is low.
Live in the Room: For great use cases and tips for how to use Thoughtexchange in meetings, workshops or conferences, check out this article Tips for Live Exchanges. Also some insight into how to use exchanges to do a deeper dive into a key topic: Leading-an-engaging-live-session
- We’ve also put together a Script for Live in the Room that you can customize to introduce and lead the exchange as well as encourage ratings.
- You may also find it handy to use this PowerPoint slide with the website where your participants will go to participate live in the room. It has a place to put the 9 digit code for your specific exchange.
