🤔 Food for Thought
Here’s where demographic questions can come in handy! Demographic groups appear in Participation, which can help you spot groups with low levels of engagement. You can then consider these groups in your promotion strategy.
- people who have shared thoughts
- people who have rated thoughts
- people who explored the exchange but didn’t share or rate any thoughts
In Participation, participant stats are displayed both at the exchange level and per question. Leaders can then connect trends in engagement and participation to specific demographic groups.
Use Participation to track trends in participation rates over time. This info may help gauge whether there is growing trust and confidence in leadership.
For example, Imaginary Superintendent O'Neil shares what she learned and her action plan after every exchange. Participants in both the district and the broader community are beginning to feel like true stakeholders, and are developing trust in the process. As a result, they’re much more likely to take part in the next exchange. Dr. O'Neil has recently noticed an upward trend in participation, which gives her confidence that her approach is working.
Note: Keep in mind that engagement levels can fluctuate depending on the topic or time of year. Tracking participation trends over time can paint a clearer picture when it comes to your engagement strategy.
