We’re able to remember participants either by their login, or using a special (inedible) cookie stored on the device they use to access the exchange.
While this is convenient most of the time, sometimes participants need to share a device (think conferences or events where you’d like to make it easy for people to participate without needing their own device). In this case, you can use either of the options below to ensure that each participant's session is unique:
Use incognito or private browsing mode
Modern browsers (both desktop and mobile) have the option to open a private/incognito window. This window does not store anything on the device once it has been closed, so this can be a pretty good option if you don’t want to dive under the hood in the device or browser’s settings.
Turn off cookies on the device
Alternatively, you can disable or turn off cookies on the device. This option provides an extra step to safeguard participant privacy if they forget to open an incognito or private browsing window.
