Commenting is one of the best ways for a leader to wrap up the conversation and address a common concern that many people have, especially in groups: “I’m not being heard”. In fact, this very belief is why many people often don’t say anything - they believe that their input won’t impact the outcome(s).
Comments are perfect for feedback on a thought. Even if it’s as simple as “Thank you for this thought”, comments let people know that they’re being heard. And that’s one of the most important and meaningful results that can come of an exchange.
